My Mental Health
Our mental health is what helps us cope with all the challenges we face as we are growing up and dealing with the world and all those around us. It is about our feelings and emotions, about being able to show how we feel and it’s about our behaviour when we feel good, bad, angry, happy, sad or excited. We all have mental health and, just like looking after our body, we need to look after out mental health.
Our mental health doesn’t always stay the same. It changes as things around us can affect it. Sometimes we might get worried about something and then it passes as things sort themselves out. That’s our mental health helping us cope with the situation. We all get worried and stressed at times and these feelings usually pass.
So what helps these feelings pass, and so help your mental health?
- Dealing with feelings
- Staying Active
- Eating Well
- Keeping in touch
- Asking for help
- Taking a break
- Doing something you are good at
- Accepting who you are
- Talking helps
