Caring has a real impact on your time, energy and wellbeing.
Caring has a real impact on your time, energy and wellbeing.
This Carers Week, we recognise everything you do and want to support you to take a short break. If you’re an unpaid carer in Cornwall, you can apply for up to £50 towards an activity that helps you take time for yourself, whether that’s a day out, a creative experience, or simply something you enjoy.
If more than one person in your household is an unpaid carer, each person can apply, up to £50.
WHY WE’RE DOING THIS
We know that carers don’t always get the chance to look after themselves.
For many people, caring means putting someone else first, day after day. It’s not something you plan, it just becomes part of everyday life – and over time, it can have an impact on your own wellbeing.
This Carers Week, we want to recognise that, and offer something practical to support you. This funding is here to give you a bit of time and space for yourself, even if it’s just for an afternoon.
Carers Week 2026 is about building carer-friendly communities. For us, that starts with recognising that carers need support too, and taking small, meaningful steps to make that happen.
