Carers Resilience Enablement Grant
This grant is here to support unpaid carers in unexpected or emergency situations, when costs arise that you can’t cover yourself. It’s designed to help you continue in your caring role without added financial pressure.
Examples of what the grant can cover:
• Repair or replacement of essential household equipment
• Private care equipment
• Other urgent domestic needs
• Urgent short break in Cornwall for you and the person you care for
Who can apply?
• Carers must be referred and endorsed by Cornwall Carers Service or another recognised carer support organisation.

Application Process:
• Once we receive your completed application and supporting documents, we will assess it within 5 working days.
• Decisions are made as quickly as possible to make sure you get the support you need.

Memory Activity & Support Groups Grant
This grant provides funding for memory cafés and other support groups for people living with memory impairment. It helps cover running costs and activities that promote wellbeing, connection, and independence.
What the grant aims to do:
• Provide activities and support for people with memory impairment
• Help new and existing self-support groups grow and sustain themselves
• Support people to self-manage their health and wellbeing
• Reduce social isolation, build confidence, and improve independent living skills
• Help prevent hospital admissions or re-admissions
Funding available:
• Up to £1,500 per year for established groups
• Up to £500 start-up funding for new groups, with an additional £500 later if needed
• Groups must have at least 4 members
What it covers:
• Running costs (e.g. room hire, insurance)
• Workshops, activities, and other wellbeing support
What it does not cover:
• Individual travel expenses
• Food and drink

Carers Group Grant
This grant supports groups and organisations—both formal and informal—that provide activities and support for unpaid carers.
What the grant aims to do:
• Provide carers access to activities and support
• Help develop and sustain self-support groups
• Support carers to manage their health and wellbeing
• Reduce isolation, build confidence, and improve independent living skills
Funding Available:
• Up to £1,000 per application (maximum £100 per carer)
• You can apply more than once per year, but the total must not exceed £3,500 annually
• New groups can apply for up to £500 start-up funding, with the option to apply for more later
