Managing Sadness, Pain or Grief when Caring with Promas | Three-day course | 26th March - 23rd April | One hour per fortnight | 10:00am – 2:00pm
Grief doesn't only come with losing someone. As a carer, you might be grieving the person your loved one used to be, the life you had before, or the future you'd imagined. That kind of grief is real, and it deserves to be acknowledged.
This gentle three-session course gives you a safe, supported space to process what you're feeling and find a way through it. There's no pressure and no expectations, just an honest, compassionate environment where you can take things at your own pace.
Over the three sessions, we'll gently work through three things together:
Accepting the reality of what has happened or is happening, whether that's a diagnosis, a change in your loved one, or a loss
Experiencing and processing the grief and pain, rather than pushing it aside
Adjusting to life as it is now and finding a way to move forward
You don't have to be coping brilliantly to come along. In fact, if you're struggling, this course is exactly the right place to be.
This course is completely FREE, our partner Promas covers all materials and travel expenses.
Before booking, take a look at our course FAQs at the bottom of this page, which answer the most common questions. If you still need help, please get in touch, and we'll be happy to chat.
We do ask that you take your place seriously. We know life as a carer can be unpredictable, and we completely understand that things come up. But last-minute cancellations can sometimes mean the course can't go ahead for others, and there's a real financial impact for us too. So if you do need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.
