Wood Carving (4-Day Course)

  • Upcycle Kernow CIC Portreath UK (map)

WOOD CARVING with Promas | Four-day course | 3rd March -24th March | Two hours per week | 10:30am – 12:30pm

Ever fancied trying something completely new? Wood carving is a wonderfully mindful craft, and this four-session course is the perfect place to start.

Over the course, you'll have the chance to choose your own creative path. If you're up for a longer project (around eight hours each), you could try carving an oak leaf or an owl, both beautifully satisfying to complete. Prefer something you can finish more quickly? You could have a go at whittling a mushroom, a tree, or a wood spirit, each taking around two hours or more.

And the experience doesn't have to stop there. Everyone who attends will be enrolled as a member of Cornwall Woodcarvers Club, completely free, giving you access to their workshops for a full year. It's a brilliant way to keep the hobby going and connect with a friendly local community.

This course is completely FREE, our partner Promas covers all materials and travel expenses.

Before booking, take a look at the course FAQs at the bottom of this page, which answer the most common questions. If you still need help, please get in touch, and we'll be happy to chat.

We do ask that you take your place seriously. We know life as a carer can be unpredictable, and we completely understand that things come up. But last-minute cancellations can sometimes mean the course can't go ahead for others, and there's a real financial impact for us too. So if you do need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible.
